2018 – Rentop is founded
Rentop is founded and offices are opened in Turku and Kajaani, Finland. From the start, we support crane companies in projects across Finland.
An international outlook is part of Rentop from day one. Wind power construction and international clients quickly take us beyond Finland’s borders.
As projects grow, so does the team. Already in the first year, we hire mobile crane and telehandler operators, riggers, slingers and transport professionals. We also begin training crane operators for both our own needs and those of our clients.
2019 – Heading into Europe
Our operations expand outside the Nordics as we follow our clients into wind power projects across Europe.
We extend our services to include lift management and supervision, allowing our clients to source all required lifting resources from one partner.
2020 – Managing larger lifting setups
We start building dedicated lifting crews. Rentop now provides ready-made teams capable of operating large cranes, including machines such as the Liebherr LG 1750, and handling projects from start to finish. Recruitment increasingly focuses on project managers and lift supervisors.
Our reputation grows. Clients trust us because we keep our promises and know their equipment and ways of working.
This also leads to deeper cooperation with our clients. We operate a major wind power project in Sweden and take responsibility for lift planning and coordination during an international refinery shutdown.
2021 – Office in Poland
We open a Rentop office in Poland.
Rentop already employs many international professionals, so strengthening our European recruitment channels is a natural next step. Wronki, Poland becomes our European base, as Rentop’s international clients have already been served from there.
The company continues to grow quickly. Revenue exceeds EUR 8.5 million, and we are involved in a wide range of industrial and construction projects around the Europe. Our operations expand to include tower cranes and port cranes.
2022 – Working with the world’s largest cranes
Our team grows to more than 120 professionals.
We begin working with the world’s largest PTC cranes – equipment of which only a few dozen units exist globally. We carry out lifts involving loads weighing thousands of tonnes, such as components for offshore oil platforms.
“Our work is demanding, but that’s exactly what makes it exciting,” says Lauri Lauhikari.
2023 – ISO certifications open new doors
Rentop is awarded ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, covering quality management, environmental responsibility, and occupational health and safety.
These certifications open doors to new industrial projects in Central Europe, including oil refinery projects in Poland.
2024 – A one-stop shop for lifting
Our team’s expertise now covers almost all crane types available on the market. We employ operators for machines such as the LR 11350. In fact, we now have the largest number of operators for general cargo and installation cranes in Europe.
We are able to provide our clients with specialised expertise and resources for all lifting needs. Thanks to our extensive network, clients can take on larger and more complex projects without worrying about resourcing.
2025 – An uplifting partner
We continue to grow in a controlled and sustainable way. Revenue exceeds EUR 11.5 million, and our team grows to more than 150 professionals.
We carry out demanding lifting work in numerous industrial, wind power and construction projects across Europe.
We reorganise our operations to serve our clients even better – and to provide our people with a smoother and more stable working life.
